How we've helped our clients.

Author :

Our client took part in a virtual spin class at her local leisure centre. Our client made her way up to the spin room where it was a virtual instructor taking the class. The class was already underway when she arrived at the spin room.

Our client got onto the spin bike. After approximately five minutes, the virtual instructor instructed our client to stand up and cycle. Her left knee cam up and hit the handlebars. The right pedal was then pushed to our client's right foot. As a result, our client sustained a soft tissue injury to her right foot.

Our client had not been shown how to set up the bike correctly, and she was not advised that she should attend a coached class prior to attending a virtual class.

How we helped our client

We intimated our client's claim upon the leisure group in question. They denied liability for the incident, and we required to raise court proceedings on her behalf.

We recovered a copy of our client's medical records and instructed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to prepare a report commenting upon our client's injuries sustained in the accident and her prognosis for recovery.

Settlement

Prior to the case proceeding to a court hearing, the Defenders solicitors put forward an offer of £4,000 which our client accepted.
